River of Jubilee Church is a Spirit-filled, family friendly regional church in the heart of the Mohawk Valley in Sprakers, NY. Often described as a church that reaches way out beyond the walls, we seek the hurting and the lost, helping them come to know Christ and grow to maturity in Him. Here the Bible is taught, God is honored, and His Presence is sought.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
Hebrews 13:8 (ESV)
What We Believe
The Convictions That Guide Our Faith and Practice at River of Jubilee
The New Birth
You Must Be Born Again
We believe the new birth is necessary for all. Every person must be made new by the Holy Spirit through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. God has a plan for you: He wants to save you, help you grow, and walk through life with you.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:3 (ESV)
Salvation
By Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned or deserved. It is the free gift of God to all who believe in His Son.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Power for Every Believer
We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to salvation, available to all believers, and that it makes available all nine gifts of the Spirit described in 1 Corinthians 12. God still speaks, still moves, and still empowers His people for service today.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Acts 1:8 (ESV)
Healing
God Still Heals Today
We believe the gifts of the Spirit, including gifts of healing, are for the Church today. That is why our trained healing team gathers every first Tuesday at 6:30 PM for a Healing Service, praying for the sick and hurting and making room for God to move.
"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."
James 5:14-15 (ESV)
The Blessed Hope
Christ Is Coming Again
We believe Christ's return for His Bride is imminent, and that He will rule on earth during the Millennium. The redeemed will enjoy eternal life in heaven with Jesus their Savior, while the lost will spend eternity separated from God's presence. This is why reaching the lost cannot wait.
"Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ."
Titus 2:13 (ESV)
Sanctification
Growing Into Maturity in Christ
We believe sanctification is a definite yet progressive work of the Spirit, beginning at the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation. That is why discipleship, Bible study, and the River School of Ministry are woven into everything we do.
"Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (ESV)
The Great Commission
Go and Make Disciples
We believe the Great Commission is to be fulfilled by the Church going, preaching, and making disciples of all nations. From Sprakers to the nations, through evangelism, church planting, and training for the work of the ministry, we reach way out beyond the walls.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
The Five-Fold Ministry
Christ's Gifts for Equipping His Church Today
We believe the five-fold ministry gifts of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher are given by Christ for the equipping of the saints in the Body of Christ today. These are not titles to be worn but functions to be lived, so that every believer is built up, matured, and released into the work of the ministry God has called them to.
Apostle
Sent to pioneer, plant, and establish the work of God
Prophet
Speaking God's heart to His people with cutting-edge clarity
Evangelist
Carrying the Good News to the hurting and the lost
Pastor
Shepherding, caring for, and protecting the flock of God
Teacher
Grounding believers in the truth of God's Word
"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."
Ephesians 4:11-12 (ESV)
This conviction shapes everything at River of Jubilee. The River School of Ministry equips believers for the work God calls them to and releases them into their calling. Our healing team was raised up this very way: trained through the school of ministry and set in place to lead. The River Leaders Ministerial Fellowship, established by Pastor Gail in 2024, extends that same equipping heart to pastors and leaders around the region. We do not just attend ministry. We are all called to it.
Our Fellowship
Covering and Connection
Maranatha Ministerial Fellowship International
Our Senior Pastors are members of Maranatha Ministerial Fellowship International (MMFI), a Spirit-filled fellowship of Christian leaders from around the world with a prophetic cutting edge, one that embraces the true present-day moves of the Spirit and looks with longing toward a promised worldwide outpouring.
MMFI provides connection without control: meaningful relationships, mutual support, and accountability among ministers, while respecting the autonomy of the local church. Through MMFI, River of Jubilee stands connected to an apostolic network of ministers, churches, and missions reaching America and the world.
